Terms of Service for Anometron

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Anometron mobile application (the "App") developed by Corbray Technologies ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Purpose and Nature of the App

Anometron is a sensor analysis and recording tool designed for paranormal investigation and environmental research purposes. The App uses your device's built-in sensors (magnetometer, microphone, accelerometer, gyroscope) and camera to capture and analyze environmental data during user-initiated sessions.

Important Disclaimer: Anometron does not claim to detect, communicate with, or prove the existence of ghosts, spirits, or supernatural phenomena. All readings displayed by the App are environmental sensor data and audio recordings subject to interpretation by the user. The App is intended for entertainment, research, and educational purposes only. Any patterns, voices, or anomalies perceived in the data are the user's interpretation and should not be considered evidence of supernatural activity.

2. Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. By using the App, you confirm that you meet these age requirements. The App is not directed at children under 13.

3. Account and Subscriptions

Some App features are available without an account. Premium features require a paid subscription or lifetime purchase processed through Google Play Billing.

Subscription Terms:

- Free tier: Access to Sense the Field session type, limited monthly time for audio-enabled sessions, on-device transcription only

- Premium ($3.99/month, $1.99 for first 30 days as introductory offer): Unlimited sessions, AI transcription, advanced features

- Lifetime ($34.99 one-time): All Premium features without recurring charges

Auto-Renewal: Monthly subscriptions automatically renew at the standard rate unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions through your Google Play account.

Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Google Play according to their refund policy. We do not process refunds directly. Lifetime purchases are non-refundable after 48 hours of purchase except where required by law.

Promotional Codes: We may distribute promotional codes for premium access. Codes are single-use, non-transferable, and have no cash value.

4. Use of the App

You may use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You agree to:

- Use the App in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

- Use the App's recording features only in locations and circumstances where audio and visual recording is legally permitted

- Obtain consent from any individuals before recording them, where required by law (recording laws vary by state and country)

- Not record copyrighted content (broadcasts, performances, etc.) for redistribution

- Not use the App to harass, surveil, or stalk any person

- Not use the App in private spaces where you do not have a legal right to record

You are solely responsible for your use of the App and any recordings you make with it.

5. User-Generated Content

The App allows you to capture audio recordings, photos, and sensor data during sessions ("User Content"). Your User Content is stored:

- Locally on your device by default

- In our cloud storage if you enable cloud sync (Premium feature)

You retain all rights to your User Content. By using cloud sync, you grant us a limited license to store, transmit, and process your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the App's services to you.

We do not sell, rent, or share your User Content with third parties except as necessary to provide the service (e.g., Google's Gemini API for AI transcription, see Section 7).

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to record and store any content you capture with the App.

6. Prohibited Uses

You agree NOT to:

- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the App's source code

- Modify, tamper with, or attempt to circumvent the App's premium features or subscription controls

- Use the App to record audio of individuals without their knowledge or consent where prohibited by law

- Upload, transmit, or share content that is illegal, abusive, defamatory, or violates the rights of others

- Use the App to violate any law in your jurisdiction

- Resell, redistribute, or commercialize the App or its features

7. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with the following third-party services:

- Google Play Billing: For subscription management and payment processing

- Google Cloud / Gemini API: For AI-powered audio transcription (Premium feature). When you enable AI transcription, audio chunks are sent to Google's servers for analysis and returned as text. See Google's terms at https://policies.google.com/terms

- Supabase: For cloud sync and account services (when enabled)

- Google AdMob: We do not currently use AdMob in Anometron, but if introduced, advertising preferences will be governed by Google's policies

Your use of these third-party services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We do not control these services and are not responsible for their practices.

8. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, content, branding, and trademarks ("Anometron," logos, and visual elements), is the property of Corbray Technologies and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not copy, distribute, reproduce, or create derivative works without our written permission.

User Content created with the App remains your property as described in Section 5.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee:

- That the App will function without errors or interruptions

- That sensor readings, transcriptions, or analyses are accurate or complete

- That the App will detect any specific phenomenon or produce any particular result

- That the App is suitable for any specific purpose

Sensor accuracy varies by device, and audio transcription may be unreliable depending on device hardware, ambient conditions, and other factors. We make no warranty regarding the accuracy or reliability of any data produced by the App.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Corbray Technologies and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, emotional distress, or claims of supernatural experience.

Our total liability for any claim related to the App is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if:

- You violate these Terms

- We discontinue the App or any of its features

- Required by law or legal process

- Your account shows signs of fraudulent activity

You may stop using the App at any time. To delete your account and associated data, contact us at the email address below.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The current version is always available at:

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in Florida, except where prohibited by law. You waive any right to participate in class actions.
